The informal meeting of EU health ministers will take place on 23 April in the National Palace of Culture, Sofia.

The agenda includes a discussion on healthy nutrition for children, one of the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU in the health sector, with a focus on the provision of healthy food for children. The debates on this topic will be held during the first panel of the programme.

The informal meeting will also discuss the effectiveness and accessibility of medicinal products, including in the context of the financial sustainability of health systems. The discussions will take place during the second panel, which will start at 2 p. m.

EU health ministers will also focus on the future of healthcare within the Union.
