The Minister for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, Lilyana Pavlova, and the Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria, Maya Manolova, will give a press briefing on Friday, 27 April 2018 at 3pm in Hall 6 of the National Palace of Culture about the upcoming international conference "Time to table the EU double standards on foodstuffs". The press conference will only be accessible to journalists accredited for the informal meeting of EU finance ministers, which takes place in the National Palace of Culture on the same day.
The conference on EU double standards on foodstuffs, which is part of the calendar of the Bulgarian Presidency, will be held on 30 April 2018 and is under the patronage of Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borissov. The organiser is the Ombudsman Maya Manolova in partnership with the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, the Ministry of Health, the Commission for Consumer Protection and the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency. Commissioners Věra Jourová and Mariya Gabriel are expected to participate in the conference.
