Module 3 of the high level course (HLC) in the field of the European Union’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) within the curriculum framework of the European Security and Defence College takes place on 16-20 April 2018 in Sofia. The module is co-hosted by the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence, the Diplomatic Institute with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the G. S. Rakovski Military Academy, and the NATO Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence. The event is part of the official calendar of events during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The module is entitled “European Union Common Security and Defence Policy Missions and Operations”. The aim is to introduce the participants to the process of planning and conducting EU’s civilian and military missions and operations, as well as to the instruments and approaches at the EU’s disposal for crisis management.
Within the margins of Module 3, the participants will visit the Charalitsa National Military Training Complex and the G. S. Rakovski Military Academy.
