The first meeting of the Directors General/Directors on Climate Change under the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU will take place on 18-19 January at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. During the meeting, Bulgaria’s priorities in the area of climate change policy will be discussed. The Bulgarian team working on the international aspects of climate change and on the international negotiations in this field will also be present.
The seminar is set to include a strategic discussion on the challenges and priorities of the EU in view of the 24th Conference of Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 24), which will take place in Katowice, Poland. Experts are expected to discuss the EU’s communication strategy on climate change, as well as other key priorities for the next six months.
