The informal meeting of EU Ministers responsible for Culture will take place in Sofia on 28 February 2018 under the motto “Culture – an inclusive value for the EU”.
The meeting will be chaired by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr Boil Banov. It will be attended by Mr Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, and Ms Petra Kammerevert, President of the European Parliament’s Committee on Culture and Education.

The session will address the following questions: How can we work better together with colleagues from different policy areas to enhance culture as a factor for strengthening the sense of belonging to Europe? What concrete actions at Member State and EU level could bring added value?

The topic of the session will be: How can we harness the energy and potential of young people in preserving and developing European values through culture?

Accredited journalists can pick up their badges on Monday, 26 February, at the Registration Desk at Entrance B-2 of the National Palace of Culture between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Members of the press arriving in Sofia on the day of the event will be able to get their badges at the same entrance upon their arrival at the National Palace of Culture. Only accredited members of the press will have access to the National Palace of Culture.
