The first event to mark the beginning of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union will be the Spirit of Europe New Year’s Gala Concert. It will take place at the National Palace of Culture under the auspices of Mrs. Liliana Pavlova, Minister for the Bulgarian Presidency, and Mr. Boil Banov, Minister of Culture, from 6 p.m. on 1 January.
“In the first day of 2018, Bulgaria will take over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the first time. This is a special day for all of us, who believe that the future is inextricably linked with the European Union. This is why the traditional New Year’s Gala Concert at the NPC will be devoted to the first Bulgarian rotational presidency,” Minister Pavlova says in her address to the audience.
The concert will include works of composers from all 28 EU Member States. Bulgaria will be presented with the Nestinari’s Dance from the “Nestinarka” (“Priestess of Fire”) Ballet by Marin Goleminov.
Tickets are available at the NPC Ticket Centre and online at ndk.bg.
